This reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes - when Calvin used to create those snowmen.

There are so many things you can do to while away time, but there is nothing better than mindless flash games to do this. And while there are many, many sites on the Internet which host a plethora of Flash games, at this time there is nothing better than the one I am about to point you to.
The main reason for why this is the best right now? It takes one click to start your favorite game from this site. Most flash games sites have navigation, advertisements, and all sorts of other distractions which slow you down in your quest to waste… err.. pass your time. Not this one, and so without further ado, I introduce you to

What are the chances that after discovering a blog where an artist has a project called Project 100 Animals, you come across another strikingly similar endeavor (only on a bigger scale). This one is called The Daily Mammal. And yes, it’s every bit as good as the one I talked about earlier.
The artist Jennifer Rae Atkins has undertaken the massive task of sketching every mammal on the earth - one every day. Massive because there are over 5000 of them.
Here’s her rendering of one of my favorites - the Tiger:

If you were to believe everything that they have on TV these days, then you would be pretty convinced that the next Apple iPhone will have Windows XP running on it (maybe through Parallels). But, then again, you don’t want to believe everything that you see on a TV. Take a look at this picture that someone snapped from Channel 9 News:

I reviewed Zemanta quite a while back as a very decent idea but with still a ways to go on proper implementation. Today I happened to read a review on one of my favorite sites, The Web Worker Daily. And their verdict is the same as mine. the images just don’t cut it yet.
To remind everyone, Zemanta installs as a browser plugin and adds a nifty little feature which suggests to you images and links for the post that you are typing based on what you are typing. An excellent idea, if it works.

If you are having trouble uninstalling programs from your Windows (XP or Vista) installation, here’s a neat little tool that I came upon. It’s called Revo Uninstaller. It’s a completely free utility that helps you remove even broken installations from your computer.
There is a long feature list that this nifty utility boasts of (i.e. aside from it’s primary function of uninstalling programs). One of these features that I really want to mention is the Junk Files Cleaner. You have to use it to believe it. I used to think that my computer was free of junk files. I was wrong. With this software, I was able to free up more than a couple of Gigabytes within minutes.
Here’s a link to their website which has a list of complete features and the download: http://www.revouninstaller.com/

I use MS Office extensively and haven’t though I have tried to use Google Docs off and on, I haven’t been able to stick around on it. Still, I keep following what’s going on with the ‘Google Office’ just in case they make a break through which makes it easy for me to shift.
Despite all the claims where people say that Google Docs is not meant to be a replacement for MS Office and is a different offering all together, it seems that with every new enhancement it gets closer to office. Take for instance the latest additions to Google Presentation:

Google just released an update to their Sync Utility a couple of days ago. The Google Calendar Sync Utility is a way to synchronize the Google Calendar with MS Outlook. Fans of Google Calendar have been clamoring for such a utility ever since the Google Calendar came on the scene. In the meantime, some people took up the opportunities to create their own utilities to sync between their Outlook and Google Calendars. One such utility is SyncMyCal.
I have used SyncMyCal for almost a year now and have been very happy with it all through this. So, I didn’t feel too bad when Google released their own utility. However, after having a look at the offering from Google it turns out that I would still go ahead and use SyncMyCal in place of Google simply because it offers so much more.
Here is a look at a comparison between the two utilities (picked up from the SyncMyCal site):
