Blog Web Analytics just took a huge spin

A new kid is on the block which, by the looks of it, should give a serious challenge to a lot of the incumbents. Its called Woopra (I wonder why, but anyway).

Woopra It is meant specifically for blogs and brings in LiveChat type of functionality to blog analytics. There are a lot of features that Woopra is boating of. The main theme of all these features is “real time”. There is Live Tracking, Instant Messaging with your blog visitors, visitor tagging to allow you to identify users, Rich UI (there is a desktop application that you install, and many more.

Click the link for the complete feature list. The only sad thing is that you need to be invited to check it out at this stage. So, I can’t really talk about my experience with this thing. You can try you luck by registering on their site and applying to get an approval for your website/blog. Here’s a screen shot from the application:
