World of World of Warcraft

Ah man, although I love everything that Blizzard does, and am a big Warcraft fan myself, I am not too sure why this has become so popular. What is next? World or World of World of Warcraft? Check out the video from Onion News Network:

Oh by the way, before you get carried away. This is the Onion News Network, which means its fake news. Heh heh.

By the power of GraySkull…

As a kid, I was a big fan of HeMan. I am not sure how many of today’s kids would even know what HeMan is, and even if they did, they would t hink it to be a very corny cartoon character. But, I am sure that if I hear him pulling out that sword and uttering “By the power of GraySkull… I have the power”, it would send a shiver down my spine (and I am 30).

I am sure there are many of you out there who would feel the same. As corny or cheesy as the cartoon or comic it was, it has a lot of hardcore fans out there.

This news would come as a great bit of joy to all of us then. The Matrix is combining hands with Kung-fu Panda (I am a big fan of both) to produce a brand new HeMan movie. Yay.

According to this article on Variety, the producer of The Matrix (Joel Silver), is joining hands with John Stevenson, one of the directors of Kung-fu Panda, to bring this epic character to life. I can hardly wait for this to come out, but I guess it would be a few years before it materializes.

FINALLY, Google comes down to Earth

First of all, let me say that I am a Google fan. But I have often wondered how Google can go on spreading their wings without any consolidation. They have just kept on trying new things and starting projects, till now. A couple of months ago, I posted about something I considered as layoffs in Google (the demise of lively). But, those were not real layoffs of course. However, now there have been real layoffs at Google.

Someone is phishing in Twitter

Spread the news. Be careful when logging into your Twitter account. Someone has put up a very clever clone of the site for the only aim of capturing your twitter credentials. DO NOT login to any pages or links that you receive through messages, IMs, emails, etc. Always go directly to www.twitter.com to login.

Not every new service is good – Twitblogs

After reading all about it on TechCrunch and other blogs, I too am of the opinion that Twitblogs is not a site you want to visit. Let me backup a little and explain what I am talking about. TwitBlogs is a new service founded by an individual called Sam Sethi. Now, I don’t know who this is but by the looks of all the reports, he is not someone who you would call as clean. The service offers you a little more than what you get on Twitter (and is actually an idea that was stolen from another person – if comments to the TechCrunch post are to be believed – I believe them).

Use your programming talent to make money

I talked about Kongregate some time ago as one of the most awesome destinations for playing flash games. What I didn’t mention is that almost all of these games are developed by people in their basements or garages. Kongregate has a model that allows you to develop a game and make it available on their site. Kongregate shares a full 50% of the revenue that it generates from ads shown on each game’s page with the game’s developer (so, you can make a pretty sum if your game is popular). And to top it off, there are bonuses awarded for popular games under several categories.

However, that is not all. Now Kongregate makes it easier for you to develop games through their Kongregate Labs initiative.

Google has released its own browser

Just in case you are one of those people who only read this blog (hah), I would like to inform you that Google has released its own browser. And based on my initial testing, it is something that you have to go and get. There are bunch of new features that are available with the browser, and you can read all about them at the Google Chrome page.
