Feedburner FeedCount is having trouble

Feedburner (a service I use to publish my RSS feeds) has a feature which allows you to embed a feed count as an image in your blog or anywhere you want. The image looks like this: image

However, I have been noticing that all the blogs I visit no longer show the feed count, where they previously used to. Here are some screen shots from some of these blogs.

FeedCountMissing

From the top, these blogs are

Problogger

Digital Inspiration

TechCrunch

Coding Horror

Computer Zen

Read Write Web

And its not that these guys are no longer displaying the images. If you actually right click this area, you will be able to see an option to Save Image, so the feed count image is there, its just displaying blank. That’s all.

Looks to me that Feedburner just went wonky.

I have tried to view the feed count image directly in my browser, but that didn’t work either. I even tried downloading the images and nopes, didn’t work. I tried different browsers and the same result.

Let’s see how soon does this come back online.

  1. The Observer Says:

Hah… between the time I discovered it, confirmed it across various sites, and typed out this post, the feed count is showing again…. that was a fast response from the Feedburner team.

I am assuming that the problem wasn’t local to my computer (because I tried various things, and also because I can’t figure out why that would be the case)…
