Free time tracking software

TrackMyPeopleHere is a service which is definitely nice to check out. And at least for now, it’s free (it’s in beta). It’s called TrackMyPeople – a web based time management service which allows you to track time for yourself and your team. And since it is we based you can do it even if your team members are spread across multiple locations. So, how is this different from so many other offerings on the Internet? Well, read on.

It’s Simple – the good thing about TrackMyPeople is that it has been kept simple. Usually a lot of these time tracking software are full of too many features, and take quite a bit of learning to get going. Not this one – it’s very simple. There are simple reports which take care of all your data analysis needs and an integrated calendar that allows you to view time data over various time intervals.

Desktop Widget – it contains a simple desktop widget that allows  uses to quick add their time data without even coming online on the website.

There are other obvious features such as managing multiple projects or even multiple companies. All in all, very simple tool, with a clean UI, and easy to use interface. Worth checking out if you have a need for such a tool.

This looks like a great time tracker, but will it give me everything I want down the road and in the future? Can I expand and customize it any which way I want?

TSheets.com also provides all the features listed with Trackmypeople AND provides full featured customer support….obviously the choice is up to the end user.

  2. The Observer Says:

Incidentally, TrackMyPeople does have customer support, however this is just my opinion of a service… I am not saying that this is the best one out there… I am saying that this is one of the options out there…

Another option to check out is Intervals. It integrates time tracking with task management and reporting. A little more advanced than TrackMyPeople, but ideal for those looking for something more robust.

  4. Gijs Nelisse Says:

    DT,

    We do have customer support.
We have not decided if we will make an ‘advance’ plan with paid support, but we do listen to our users.

Just check out the blog and see howmany features were added by user request.
