Jessica Rabbit in real life

Jessica Rabbit

The blog owner of Pixeloo is a Photoshop Wizard. No doubt about it. What you see above is a before and after version of the famous Jessica Rabbit. The original Jessica Rabbit is a cartoon character. What the creator did above is that he worked on her to see how she would look in real life.

And here is what the final result looks like:

Jessica Rabbit Real You have to click on the image to see a high resolution version of the picture. And trust me you really do want to do that. This small version just doesn’t do justice to this art (nor to Jessica).

Amazing. I can’t say that enough really. There is even a video of a screen capture that was done as this piece of art was being created in Photoshop on the site.

I chanced upon the site today and am going to keep going back for sure. There are real life versions of Homer Simpson and Super Mario as well. You should definitely visit this site for more amazing Photoshop magic.

  2. The Observer Says:

    exactly… :)

  3. Annie Says:

If you want to see the real Jessica, take a look at Kathleen Turner – that’s who she was modelled after.

  4. The Observer Says:

@Annie, I did know that she did the voice for Jessica Raabit, but I didn’t know that Jessica was modeled after her…

  5. megawump Says:

KT did the voice, but JR was modeled on Veronica Lake.

  6. The Observer Says:

Turns out that she was modeled after Veronica Lake and Rita Hayworth

  7. Ali Says:

    Gorgeous piece!

Funny how in the cartoon world she is regarded by toons and humans alike as such a stunning figure, yet were she real she’d be absolutely freakish.

  8. The Observer Says:

@Ali – yeah sure, but what a freak she would be :)

  9. Kate Says:

It’s kinda creepy how she would turn out in real life. Can he do this for a few anime figures? Somehow in real life all that seems to be appealing about Jessica Rabbit gets a little… Well, it’s like a Korn video.

  10. Chronus Says:

Animation always seems to be a gateway for people to suspend their disbelief. I mean, look at superheroes. Most comic book superheroes are dressed in skintight spandex that would, in real life, appear creepy or kinky, yet it’s perfectly acceptable worldwide if it’s drawn.
It’s a similar case with Mrs. Rabbit, here. It would seem, however, to appear that she’s still pretty hot in these proportions, but let’s face it. It’s Jessica freakin’ Rabbit!

  11. The Observer Says:

@Chronus – true about that last bit… and I think the X-men look cool in their outfits in the movies :D

mmm Jessica Rabbit the hottest cartoon character ever drawn. And to see her in a real life picture is a teenage boys wet dream lol. Great artwork to whoever created it.

  19. Brad Anderson Says:

The interesting thing is, this could be done in CGI animation to produce an actual modern version of Roger Rabbit, like a sequel where he the Roger Rabbit characters get upgraded to CGI characters, and they interact with other CGI characters, and George Clooney or someone as a descendant of Eddie Valiant. It would be an interesting advancement to show the evolution of animation, just like Roger Rabbit spoofed the Golden Age of cartoons. Maybe Roger Rabbit could interact with the Final Fantasy and Mortal Kombat and Grand Theft Auto etc. characters, to show how they had become too serious and forgotten how to laugh– and how this reflected a much more serious trend in the world overall; it could be called something like “Roger Rabbit Returns: Roger Saves the World.”

  20. Brad Anderson Says:

I wanted to add, that the theme would be how the Toons were simply drawn, and times were simple; and as times got more complex and graphic, likewise the Toons became more graphic and serious in reflection of that. Roger returns to bring back the humor of a simpler time.

  21. The Observer Says:

Brad, you are absolutely right there. After all, a cartoon is supposed to make you laugh.

I wish someone would do a remake of Roger Rabbit :)
